Do you have child care available for my children during worship service?
Yes – childcare is available for ages infant-preschool during worship every Sunday from 10:00 am until noon. The nursery is located in classroom 5. Children will be fully supervised by two childcare providers while they play.
What classes are available for Sunday school? Is registration required?
Sunday school is available for all ages at 9:15 am every Sunday morning. There are groups for children and youth from preschool age through high school. You will be asked to fill out a registration form for your child on your first visit. Classes are also available for adults. When is the church office open?
The church office is open Monday-Friday from 9am to Noon. Please contact the Church Coordinator with any questions at 301-349-2010 or office@pmumc.org.
How can I reach the Pastor?
You can contact the church office at 301-349-2010, if it goes to voicemail, press 2 to send a message our Pastor, Rev. Timothy Dowell. You may also email him at pastortim@pmumc.org. Phone messages left on the church voice mail system are automatically emailed to the Pastor and the Church Coordinator.
Does Memorial participate on any social media sites?

What worship services are offered at Memorial?
Our 10:30 Worship Service offers Communion on first Sundays of the month.
Do you offer fellowship time following worship?
Coffee, tea, and water are offered in our main entry on most Sundays following the 10:30am worship service. Pot luck lunches and special events are also offered throughout the year.
What is the prayer chain? How do I sign up?
The prayer chain is a way to communicate and receive prayer requests by email. You can sign up to receive the prayer chain and/or submit prayer requests by contacting the church office at 301-349-2010 or office@pmumc.org.
What is the e-messenger? How can I receive it?
The e-messenger provides a way to receive and send notifications about church announcements and events. You can sign up to receive it and/or post a message on it by contacting the church office at 301-349-2010 or office@pmumc.org.
Does Memorial publish a newsletter?
Memorial produces a quarterly newsletter and posts it on the website at www.pmumc.org. Printed copies of the most recent newsletter are also available in the church entry. If you have signed up to receive e-messenger announcements (see above), you will receive notification when new issues are available.
How can I find out about upcoming events and activities at Memorial?
Information about happenings at Memorial is communicated in several ways:
• Through the home page, calendar, and newsletter - all located on the church website at www.pmumc.org.
• By email through the e-messenger service (see above).
• In the weekly bulletin distributed during Sunday worship services.
• Through flyers posted on bulletin boards located throughout the church building.
What are the Community Dinners and when are they held? Memorial’s community dinners are a wonderful way to connect with the church and community! All are invited to join us around the table for fellowship and a free meal from 5:30-7:00 pm on the first Wednesday of the following months: February, April, June, August, October, and December.
When are church council meetings held, and who can attend?
The church council usually meets in the evening on the second Tuesday of each month. Please check the church calendar at www.pmumc.org to confirm. Meetings are open to all members of the congregation. For more information, please contact the church office at 301-349-2010 or office@pmumc.org.
Does Memorial offer space in the sanctuary, fellowship room or meeting rooms/ classrooms for personal events? Who do I contact?

Is someone available to help me with a personal need?
Memorial’s Compassionate Care Ministry serves those in need of rides, meals, shopping, cleaning, small repairs, and home/hospital visits. To request help, please contact the church office at 301-349-2010 or office@pmumc.org.
Are Bible studies, prayer groups, and other small group opportunities available at Memorial?

Is there a youth group at Memorial?
Memorial has an active group for youth in grades 6-12. They hold regular meetings and participate in retreats, service opportunities, and recreational activities. For more information, please contact the church office at office@pmumc.org or 301-349-2010.
What is my financial offering to Memorial used for?
The yearly pledges, weekly offerings, tithes and gifts given by our church members and guests are the main way that we generate the necessary funds to operate our local church. The funds given each week go toward helping those in need in our community and in the world, supporting Memorial’s ministries, paying for the basic costs to operate our church’s facility, and paying the salary for the minister and staff who support the life of our church.
